Sunday Worship: 10:00 am

Starting New

As we head into Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, it’s time to reflect on the past year and search our hearts with an attitude of repentance. This is a time to reflect and listen to the Lord as He reveals to us any negative thoughts and attitudes or sinful behaviors so that we can leave them behind and enter a new season where we grow closer to Him. By letting go of anything not of Him, we create capacity for more of His heart and nature.

As we do this, we will discover that some of the things that He is  calling us to leave behind are actually barriers that have kept us from receiving a breakthrough. We often don’t realize it, but things like complaining and pride can too easily become barriers of our own making. The Lord loves to see us free, in fact, He came to set us free. So let’s be sure that we are not creating our own stumbling blocks with our thoughts, speech and actions. Let’s leave behind anything that stands against the knowledge of Christ.

Have great week!

In Christ,
